I really need to drop 10-20 lbs. I think I am going to try and cut out all soft drinks or at least cut down on them because of the sugar content. I know water is the best thing to drink but I need to change up a little, don't think I can drink just water all the time, I need to have an alternative beverage.

I have been drinking unsweetend tea for the last couple of days, it's not the best tasting drink but its tolerable. is this a good alternative to water, according to the label there is no sugars added.

Go with green tea, it is supposed to help with weight loss and its not going to taste any better than normal tea, but does have extra benefits.
I like Propel when working out, very few calories and i dont' think any sugar, pretty good stuff.

Green tea is more beneficial............but even regular tea has some antioxidant properties.

Try to not drink a whole lot as it does contain about 1/3 the caffiene of coffee.

After a short while, you'll get used to the taste and actually start to like it. Plus you get antioxidants. Really good with fresh lemon.

Stay away from diet drinks. Research has shown they actually make you gain weight.

Unsweetened tea is 20x more healthier for an individual than any DIET beverage.

Like any good southerner, I used to drink a *ton* of sweet tea. I've never had a weight problem, but I've been trying to get in really good shape lately so I wanted to cut out all of the sugar. I've been drinking iced herbal tea all summer and I honestly don't miss the sweet stuff. My favorites are the Tazo Green Tea (called "Zen") and the Celestial Seasonings Red Zinger. I drink both without any sweetener whatsoever and think they taste great. I'm able to find both at any decent grocery store (Wal-Mart and Publix here both have them) and you'd definitely be able to find them at a Whole Foods, Earth Fare or similar health food type chain.

It'll be a little more expensive than Lipton Tea Bags, but minus the sugar its a lot healthier. And its a lot cheaper than Coke or Pepsi!

Green tea, in particular, is supposed to have a ton of anti-oxidants and other bodily goodness so this is also to the benefit of your health.
